Fiddle & Bone Birmingham – Pub, Food, Entertainment and Boaters Facility

press day

Fiddle & Bone

Sherborne Wharf has taken over the  ‘Fiddle & Bone’ pub.  It is situated on Birmingham’s Sheepcote Street and alongside the canal.  We will continue to operate our ‘Sherborne Wharf Marina’ found on James Brindley’s ‘Oozells Street Loop’ .  We will be running all our Birmingham operations from the ‘Fiddle & Bone’ pub.

Our aim is to be one of the City’s finest gastro pubs!  With delicious home cooked food, quality real ales and selected wines.  Live music and entertainment will breathe life back into this iconic waterside building for City Dwellers and Boaters alike.

New signs are being prepared by our boat painter and sign writer!

The site consisting of the pub itself and the adjacent arches of the ‘Roundhouse’.  It will be developed to offer boatyard services including diesel, gas, coal, pump out, elsan disposal as well as showers and laundry and boaters supplies.  Our offices will be situated within the pub building.

The Fiddle & Bone pub and Roundhouse arches will be sympathetically restored and  refurbished in such a way to maintain it’s existing charm.  The exterior canal wall will be lowered and railings put to the same height as now to open up the view of the pub and Roundhouse arches from the canal side. In the pub we will be providing quality beers, ciders and wines as well as an all day ‘eatery’.  We will also be providing entertainment on selected nights! Brand new facilities will enable us to pump out our boating customers toilets and serve diesel, coal and gas.  A additional building will be constructed within the wall to house an elsan disposal facility and storage area to house all the equipment required for these canal side services. Within the arches of the Roundhouse we will be providing a new boaters chandlery  and a laundry and shower block.
